Journaling…

and it’s significance.

As a strategist, my brain is constantly churning, therefore, it’s important to write down my thoughts.

According to Forbes, the one thing successful people do everyday, is document and journal their daily life experiences.

My journal is a safe haven, therapy, and a vision board - all in one!

Here’s 5 benefits of journaling and why I encourage everyone to do it:

  • Clarity - There’s something therapeutic about writing your thoughts down. Putting it to paper brings clarity to the mind and allows one to be at ease.

  • Goals - It’s a great way to create clear, concise goals for your future. Something you want to achieve? Well start with writing it down and creating an action plan to follow.

  • Measurement - My journal has been a place to measure my achievements and goals over the last decade. I monitor my trends and adjust accordingly. Data isn't just for good business! (Sounds nerdy but data can be fun!)

  • Self-Reflection - One can look back and perform an honest evaluation of one’s personal development. The best leaders have mastered the art of self reflection.

  • Memories - I write major events in my journal and it is actually pretty cool to go back and read them!

I hope this inspires you to start your own journey and start documentation your amazing life experiences.

Until next time,

Iqra
